    Although the anti-corrosion performance of hot-dip galvanized Steel Wire Rope is recognized by the world, the use practice in the past 100 years has proved its excellent anti-corrosion performance in outdoor.
      However, due to the rise in zinc prices, the amount of zinc on the hot-dip galvanized steel wire ropes produced by some small and medium-sized enterprises is insufficient, and the thickness is even less than 0.02mm, which greatly reduces the corrosion resistance of hot-dip galvanized steel wire ropes. The general coating thickness of plastic-Coated Steel Wire Rope is 1~2mm, and the anti-corrosion performance is excellent. According to the test, the anti-corrosion performance of plastic-coated steel wire rope is obviously better than that of hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope in outdoor, especially in marine climate and industrial atmospheric environment. The plastic coating layer uses modified LLDPE (modified linear low density polyethylene), which has excellent anti-corrosion performance and low price. Appropriate plasticizer, anti-aging agent, anti-ultraviolet agent, weather resistance are added to the hot-melt plastic coating powder. The performance of the plastic film to adapt to the outdoor environment is greatly improved. According to laboratory tests, the domestic use of such coatings can last for more than 60 years when used outdoors. Because many processes are the same, the original production of hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope can be changed to plastic-coated steel wire rope with very little investment.
